Por eso, es fundamental protegerla. \u00bfC\u00f3mo? \u00bfQu\u00e9 riesgos existen de no hacerlo? Las respuesta las ofreci\u00f3 Ariel Giordano<\/strong>, responsable de la Oficina de Propiedad Intelectual de la Universidad Nacional de Villa Mar\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En principio, la Oficina de Propiedad Intelectual de la UNVM naci\u00f3 con el objetivo de \u201crevalorizar los resultados de investigaci\u00f3n\u201d de la casa de altos estudios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sin embargo, con el paso del tiempo se fue transformando tambi\u00e9n en un \u00e1rea de apoyo a los emprendedores y pymes<\/strong> locales y de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGeneralmente lo que m\u00e1s se solicitan son registros de marcas, aunque ha habido pedidos para patentes y dise\u00f1os industriales\u201d, confi\u00f3 Giordano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por qu\u00e9 registrar la marca<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUno de los problemas m\u00e1s comunes que vemos, es que empiezan un emprendimiento, hacen ventas, pasan algunos meses, y cuando deciden registrar la marca se encuentran que ya est\u00e1n ocupadas o hay otras muy similares<\/strong>\u201d, ejemplific\u00f3 Giordano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En ese sentido, plante\u00f3 que \u201ceso es un problema porque tienen que cambiar su identidad<\/strong> cuando ya hicieron un camino o han logrado instalarse\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concretamente, record\u00f3 un caso concreto que abordaron con un emprendimiento que ten\u00eda dos a\u00f1os funcionando y debi\u00f3 renombrarla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n expuso que con la exposici\u00f3n que dan las redes sociales y las ventas por internet, hoy es com\u00fan que quien tenga la marca registrada reclame v\u00eda carta documento<\/strong> a quien la est\u00e1 usando sin registro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHace quiz\u00e1s unos cuantos a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s, a lo mejor uno pod\u00eda usar una marca y no pasaba nada porque era dif\u00edcil enterarte que estaba usada o que te reclamaran\u201d, subray\u00f3.<\/p>\nAriel Giordano.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Giordano dijo que \u201csabemos que al principio quiz\u00e1s no se muestra como algo necesario o urgente, pero siempre recomendamos que empiecen con el registro de marca\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El proceso, habitualmente, demora m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El responsable de la Oficina de Propiedad Intelectual de la Universidad Nacional<\/a> de Villa Mar\u00eda enfatiz\u00f3 que, l\u00f3gicamente, lo mismo aplica para empresas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En ese sentido, confi\u00f3 que desde el \u00e1rea suelen atender requerimientos de pymes locales y de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
